KUWAIT CITY, May 21: Kuwait is expected to experience hot and dusty conditions through the weekend due to an extension of a low-pressure system accompanied by a relatively hot air mass, the Meteorological Department said on Thursday.

Thursday
Hot weather is forecast during the day, with southeasterly winds shifting to northwesterly, ranging between 15 and 50 km/h and occasionally becoming active, raising dust and reducing visibility in some areas. Temperatures are expected between 38°C and 40°C. The sea will be slight to moderate, with waves between 2 and 6 feet.

At night, conditions will turn warm to mild, with northwesterly to northerly winds at 10 to 40 km/h, with a chance of suspended dust. Minimum temperatures will range from 22°C to 24°C, with slight to moderate seas.

Friday
The weather will remain hot, with northerly to northwesterly winds at 10 to 40 km/h, occasionally becoming active and causing dust in exposed areas. Maximum temperatures will range between 35°C and 37°C, while the sea will be slight to moderate, with waves reaching up to 6 feet.

Friday night will be warm to mild, with northwesterly to variable winds at 8 to 30 km/h. Temperatures will drop to between 23°C and 25°C, with slight to moderate sea conditions.

Saturday
Hot conditions will persist, with northwesterly winds ranging from 12 to 40 km/h, occasionally becoming active. Temperatures are expected between 37°C and 39°C, and the sea will be light to moderately rough, with waves up to 6 feet.

At night, the weather will be warm to mild, with light to moderate northwesterly to variable winds at 8 to 28 km/h. Minimum temperatures will range from 25°C to 27°C, with slight to moderate seas and waves between 1 and 3 feet.
