Kuwait Warns Against Illegal Drone Use Amid Heightened Security Measures

KUWAIT CITY, March 20: The Kuwait Ministry of Interior announced that several individuals were detected operating aerial photography drones in violation of official regulations, warning that offenders will be arrested and face legal action.

Speaking during a media briefing, Brigadier General Nasser Bouslaib reiterated the ministry’s strict prohibition on unauthorized drone use, urging the public to comply with instructions to avoid legal consequences.

He revealed that emergency sirens had been activated nine times in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 107 since the start of the ongoing escalation linked to Iran. Explosive Ordnance Disposal teams also handled 19 incidents involving falling debris from interception operations, raising the total number of such reports to 461.

Bouslaib also extended Eid Al-Fitr greetings to His Highness the Amir Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Crown Prince Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, wishing continued security and prosperity for Kuwait and its people.
