Kuwait volleyball team wraps up Cairo camp

Players are preparing for the final friendly match.

CAIRO, Oct 1: Kuwait’s senior volleyball team will conclude its Cairo training camp today with a fifth and final friendly against Petrojet as preparations continue for the Arab Volleyball Championship in Amman.

The championship is scheduled for October 5-15, with Kuwait set to travel to Jordan on October 4.

The Blues have played four friendlies during the camp, facing El Gaish twice, Arab Contractors, and Petrojet. The matches have allowed the coaching staff to assess the players’ readiness while fine-tuning their technical and tactical approach.

Argentine head coach Julian Alvarez and his Kuwaiti assistant Zaid Al-Kadhmi have also focused on improving the team’s physical condition and building understanding between experienced players and the younger members of the squad.

The coaching staff hopes the camp will leave the team in peak condition ahead of the tournament and ready to produce a strong showing in Amman.
