KUWAIT CITY, Nov 26: The Kuwait volleyball team departed for Amman, Jordan, ahead of the inaugural Arab Challenge Cup, taking place from November 28 to December 5, with seven Arab national teams competing.

The Kuwaiti delegation is led by Federation Board Member Jassim Al-Felkawei and includes team manager Mohammed Al-Baloushi, Argentinian head coach Julian Faiz, his assistants Zaid Al-Kazemi and Argentinian coach Lux, as well as physiotherapist Mohammed Bin Al-Yamam. The squad features 14 players: Abdulnasser Al-Anzi, Abdullah Al-Mulla, Abdullah Al-Muein, Fares Siraj, Badr Al-Attar, Rashid Anbar, Ahmed Al-Munees, Nasser Dashti, Abdullah Faris, Talal Abdulrazzaq, Abdulrahman Al-Mulla, Fahad Saad Yaqoub, Abdulrahman Al-Mutawa, and Saud Al-Dwaisan.

Kuwait will open the tournament against host nation Jordan on November 28, followed by matches against Bahrain, Palestine (November 30), Tunisia (December 3), Libya (December 4), and Egypt (December 5). All games will be played at Princess Sumaya Hall in Amman.

Assistant coach Zaid Al-Kazemi emphasized that the Arab Challenge Cup represents an important step in the team’s development, allowing players to gain international experience and improve their technical performance.

He added that the tournament also provides new players the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and earn a place in the squad, as part of Kuwait’s long-term plan to build a strong national team capable of competing internationally and elevating the profile of Kuwaiti volleyball.
