Al-Shuraidah, Al-Anzi, and Al-Otaibi attend Kuwait Volleyball Federation’s General Assembly.


KUWAIT CITY, Feb 18: The Volleyball Federation’s ordinary general assembly approved Talal Al-Namsh of Kazma as Secretary-General and Ziad Al-Anzi of Al-Nasr as a board member to complete the remainder of the 2024–2027 term.

The assembly was held at the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex under the leadership of Federation President Dr. Jaber Al-Merri, with the participation of Assistant Secretary Naif Al-Khamili, Treasurer Talal Al-Adwani, and representatives from Kuwait Club, Kazma, Al-Sahel, Al-Jahra, Al-Nasr, Al-Sulaibikhat, Burgan, and Al-Shabab clubs.

The current board now includes:

Dr. Jaber Al-Merri – President (Al-Sahel)

Nasser Al-Anzi – Vice President (Al-Jahra)

Talal Al-Adwani – Treasurer (Burgan)

Hamad Al-Badhali – Assistant Treasurer (Al-Sulaibikhat)

Naif Al-Khamili – Assistant Secretary (Al-Tadhamon)

Naif Al-Felkawei – Member (Yarmouk)

Dhari Al-Areefi – Member (Kuwait Club)

Jassim Al-Felkawei – Member (Al-Shabab)

Talal Al-Namsh – Secretary-General (Kazma)

Ziad Al-Anzi – Board Member (Al-Nasr)

Meanwhile, Al-Qadsia lodged a formal protest over its 2-3 loss to Yarmouk in the league, claiming the opponent fielded both professional and youth-born players simultaneously—a violation of league regulations. Club administrator Ismail Dashti stated that the infraction should result in a 3-0 victory being awarded to Al-Qadsia.

Elsewhere, Al-Sulaibikhat defeated Burgan 3-2. The league standings are now:

Kuwait Club– 20 points

Al-Qadsia – 17 points

Al-Arabi – 15 points

Kazma – 14 points

Al-Sulaibikhat – 13 points

Burgan – 11 points

Al-Shabab – 10 points

Yarmouk – 5 points

Al-Nasr – 0 points

Al-Sahel – 0 points
