Kuwait University cancels planned exams due to weather conditions

KUWAIT, Nov 9 (KUNA) — The Kuwait University on Friday announced the closure of its campus and the cancellation of exams planned on Saturday (tomorrow). The move was taken because of unstable weather conditions hitting the country.
Upon instructions of the University’s President, and Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Hamed Al-Azmi, the campus will be closed due to weather conditions engulfing the country, the University’s spokesman Dr. Muthana Al-Refaie said in a press statement.
Exams scheduled on Saturday were cancelled and will be held later on after the improvement of weather conditions, he added.
The Meteorological Department revealed that the country is experiencing unstable weather conditions and scattered thunderous rains, ranging between moderate and heavy, expected to run until Saturday morning.
In this regard, the Interior Ministry urged both citizens and expatriates to be cautious enough amid showers hitting the country
