KUWAIT CITY, Oct 11: Kuwait University President Prof. Dina Musaed Al-Mailem met recently with Ambassador of Japan to the State of Kuwait Kenichiro Mukai at Sabah Al-Salem University City. The meeting is aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Kuwait University and Japanese universities, as well as exploring avenues for academic and scientific cooperation between the two sides.
also tackled the importance of expanding horizons for future scientific cooperation, student and cultural exchange between the two countries, and the development of academic partnerships that contribute to the exchange of expertise and enhancement of knowledge. Al-Mailem affirmed that she is proud of the great relationship between Kuwait and Japan. She lauded the pioneering role of Japanese universities in scientific research and modern technology, stressing that Kuwait University remains committed to strengthening academic and research cooperation between the two countries to achieve development and educational goals. On the other hand, Mukai expressed his happiness over visiting Kuwait University.
He commended its illustrious academic standing while confirming that his country is keen on expanding academic cooperation with Kuwait University, particularly in the field of cybersecurity. In addition, a coordination meeting between officials at Kuwait University and the Japanese Embassy has held with Assistant Deputy Director for Information Technology Support Services Dr. Mohammad Al-Marzouq, Japanese Ambassador Kenichiro Mukai and Cultural Attaché at the Japanese Embassy Rie Kurihara in attendance.
