Kuwait, UK Discuss Strengthening Ties and Regional Developments

KUWAIT CITY, Apr 16: Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah held talks on Thursday with UK Lord Chancellor, Minister of Justice and Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy during his official visit to Kuwait, focusing on strengthening bilateral ties and discussing key regional developments.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the meeting reviewed the longstanding historical relations between Kuwait and the United Kingdom and explored ways to enhance cooperation across various sectors. Both sides also exchanged views on issues of mutual interest and ongoing diplomatic efforts related to developments in the region.

The two officials reaffirmed their support for initiatives aimed at promoting regional and international security and stability, while stressing the importance of ensuring freedom and safety of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and other vital waterways.
