Kuwait, UK Discuss Strategic Ties, Strait of Hormuz Security

LONDON, Sep 15: Kuwait Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Secretary Ed Miliband discussed bilateral relations and regional developments during a meeting in London on Tuesday.

The meeting, held during Sheikh Jarrah’s official visit to the UK, focused on strengthening cooperation in political, defense, investment and cultural fields. The two sides also discussed regional developments and diplomatic efforts to promote security and stability, with particular emphasis on ensuring the safety and freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

Both sides stressed the importance of strengthening Kuwaiti-British coordination at all levels amid the region’s current challenges and rapidly changing developments.
