Kuwait U-17 team launches Asian campaign against Bahrain

07/11/2026

MUSCAT, Nov 7: Kuwait's U-17 national team kicks off its AFC U-17 Asian Cup qualifying campaign against Bahrain at 4:00 pm on Sunday at Salalah Sports Complex Stadium in Oman.

The match marks the opening round of Group G, which also includes hosts Oman, Lebanon and Brunei.

Only the group winners from the seven qualifying groups will secure places in the final tournament, scheduled to take place in Uzbekistan in May 2027.

Kuwait will be looking to make a stronger impression after an early exit from last month's Gulf U-17 Championship in Qatar, where the team failed to progress beyond the group stage.
