Furthermore, 24 wanted vehicles were impounded, in addition to 250 vehicles and five motorcycles whose drivers committed various violations. A total of 17 individuals were placed in traffic detention and 21 juveniles were referred to the Juvenile Prosecution. Regarding accidents, traffic officers handled 957 collisions and 213 accidents involving injuries—totaling 1,170 incidents throughout the week. They took the necessary measures in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations. The Traffic and Operations Sector affirmed its continuous traffic deployment and field monitoring on the roads, as well as its commitment to respond to reports and accidents and to crack down on violations and behaviors that impede traffic flow or compromise the safety of road users. It reiterated that such traffic campaigns are ongoing to guarantee road safety, reduce accidents and violations, and safeguard lives and property.
