KUWAIT CITY, Jan 12: The Tourism Projects Company (TPC) on Monday signed an investment contract with Arkan Kuwait Real Estate Company to develop and operate a swimming pool complex, aiming to modernize one of the country’s most prominent and long-established recreational facilities.

TPC CEO Anwar Al-Halila said the agreement marks a major milestone in the company’s strategy to enhance its assets and vital facilities through partnerships with the Kuwaiti private sector, which has demonstrated competence in managing and developing recreational projects.

Al-Halila emphasized that the revamped complex will provide a comprehensive recreational destination for Kuwaiti families, residents, and visitors, contributing to Kuwait’s position on the regional tourism map. He added that the project aligns with the "New Kuwait 2035" development plan and supports initiatives to stimulate domestic tourism.

Abdulrahman Al-Turkait, Chairman and CEO of Arkan Kuwait Real Estate Company, described the project as a strategic addition to the company’s growing portfolio in the entertainment and hospitality sector. He highlighted the historical and social significance of the swimming pool complex on Arabian Gulf Street and stressed that redevelopment will follow international standards.

Al-Turkait said the facility will offer a modernized swimming area, service facilities, recreational activities, restaurants, and innovative services, ensuring the highest levels of safety, security, and quality. The complex spans more than 9,000 square meters.

TPC, a wholly state-owned company, oversees the operation, development, and management of tourism, entertainment, and leisure assets in Kuwait, collaborating with government agencies, the private sector, and international partners to promote the country’s tourism and entertainment industry.
