KUWAIT CITY, Jan 28, (Agencies): According to the Numbeo website, Kuwait has been recognized as the most affordable Gulf city in the Cost of Living Index for 2024, securing the 218th spot globally.
In the ranking of the most expensive Gulf cities, Dubai claimed the top position, followed by Abu Dhabi, Doha, Manama, Riyadh, Jeddah, Sharjah, Muscat, and Kuwait. The index assesses the relative prices of consumer goods across 362 cities worldwide, excluding accommodation expenses.
Numbeo also ranked Kuwait fifth in the Gulf and Arab world and 30th globally in the Safest Countries Index for 2024, with a score of 67.1 out of 100. The safety index takes into account factors such as perceived safety, concerns about specific crimes, property crimes, and violent crimes. The UAE secured the top spot in the Arab world and globally, followed by Qatar, Oman, and Saudi Arabia.
