KUWAIT CITY, July 19: Kuwait Toastmasters Club, the 1st Toastmasters Club in Kuwait since 1999, kicked off its new Toastmasters year with an energizing meeting held on Saturday, July 12th, 2025, in Shaab. Marking the beginning of a fresh leadership term, the event was led under the inspiring guidance of Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) Hebah Alnakkas, who now takes the helm as Club President alongside her newly appointed Executive Committee.
The meeting was a powerful showcase of what Toastmasters is all about: communication, leadership, and community. Members took the stage not only to demonstrate their public speaking skill but also to inspire one another with speeches, evaluations, and impromptu speaking challenges. Special recognition and heartfelt appreciation were given to the outgoing leadership team for their dedicated service during the past year. The New Executive Committee was inducted, which comprises of a powerful team ie. President -DTM Hebah Alnakkas, VP Education, DTM Raymond Pereira, VP Public Relations - TM Tahani Aledian, VP Membership - TM Mohammed Reiad, Secretary - DTM Wafaa Salman, Club Treasurer - DTM Hazem Ibrahim, and Sergeant at Arms - TM NoorAldin Alayaan
The Toastmasters educational year runs from July 1st to the next year on June 30th, and Kuwait Toastmasters Club meets twice a month, on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays, at York Complex in Shaab, offering an accessible platform for personal and professional development.

The first meeting's theme, “Small Steps, Big Results,” chosen by Toastmaster of the Day TM Raed AlSaleem, set the tone for the year ahead; reminding members that consistent effort, no matter how small, can lead to transformative growth. It was carefully observed by General Evaluator, TM Abdullah Alhubail. Speeches by TM Shoukry Elmashad, TM Mohammad Rinaz were evaluated by TM Maria Josol and TM Hana Al Otaibi, giving the audience deep learning through observation and feedback. The Word of the day, "Ignite" was embedded into the minds of the audience by the Grammarian of the day, TM Mohammed Reiad, while our nervousness and filler words, were trapped by TM Mohammed Rafique.
Kuwait Toastmasters club has members representing a wide array of nationalities from across the Middle East, Asia, and beyond, the club is a shining example of cultural unity in diversity. Meetings blend perspectives, traditions, and storytelling styles. Thus creating amazing speakers, but more empathetic , Culture Sensitive, globally-minded leaders and communicators.
As Kuwait Toastmasters Club embarks on this new chapter, it extends a warm invitation to all who wish to become more confident speakers, better listeners, and stronger leaders.
