KUWAIT CITY, Jan 26: The Al-Ajiri Scientific Center has announced that tomorrow morning, Saturday, the Kuwaiti sky will host a rare astronomical event – the conjunction of the planets Mercury and Mars, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
This celestial occurrence will be visible to the naked eye. In a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the center explained that the country's skies are set for the conjunction of the two "red" planets, with a degree of conjunction reaching 0.25, bringing them close. The conjunction will be observable from dawn until sunrise and will continue to be visible until Monday during nighttime in the southeastern part of the sky.
The center encouraged enthusiasts to gather in open areas to observe and enjoy the phenomenon. It assured that the conjunction could be easily observed with the naked eye or through the use of binoculars or a small telescope.
