He said this cooperation also translates the directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, to focus on building a sustainable economy, consolidating the global presence of the country, and investing in its national capabilities. He said “we are witnessing today a strategic step within a comprehensive national framework for building a modern tourism communication system, as well as unifying promotional efforts under a single national umbrella that reflects Kuwait’s cultural identity and highlights its unique assets and deeply rooted historical and cultural standing.”

He asserted that tourism is now an influential economic and developmental sector, which contributes to the diversification of national income sources, supports investment and innovation, provides new opportunities for Kuwaiti youths, and strengthens cultural and human connections with the whole world. He confirmed that this agreement realizes the aforementioned vision by unifying efforts between the Visit Kuwait platform, as the national gateway for tourism promotion, and Kuwait Airways, the national carrier, thus, providing a comprehensive visitor experience that combines comfort, authenticity and modernity. He expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to Kuwait Airways for its initiative and cooperation, and the Visit Kuwait team for their tireless work and dedicated national effort. He hopes this agreement will be the starting point for more partnerships and ambitious projects to achieve the goals of Kuwait Vision 2035 and improve the position of the country on the global tourism In a statement to reporters after the signing ceremony, Al-Mutairi revealed that since the launching of the Visit Kuwait platform, they have witnessed many initiatives, which greatly contribute to strengthening and developing the tourism sector. He said this agreement will help in the development of the tourism sector by gathering proposals to provide all the services that visitors to Kuwait need.

He pointed out that the Visit Kuwait platform features an interactive map of all locations, as well as a variety of events and a digital guide called, Rashid, which provides everyone with the information they need. It includes media outlets that offer comprehensive coverage of the events and locations featured. He emphasized the significant role of the media in providing insights that contribute to the development of this system and platform, ensuring that everyone is a partner in maximizing its benefits and continuously improving it. On the other hand, Kuwait Airways Chairman Abdulmohsen Al-Fuqaan said the agreement is a significant and serious step to support the efforts of Kuwait to enhance its position on the regional and global tourism and cultural map.

Al-Fuqaan explained that this collaboration embodies the role of Kuwait Airways as the national carrier and primary gateway of Kuwait to the entire world, carrying its flag over the skies for more than seven decades. He pointed out this entails unwavering commitment to support the national vision in all forums and fields in and outside the country. He said “The Visit Kuwait platform is a pioneering national initiative that facilitates visitors’ discovery of the wealth of opportunities and unique experiences our beloved country offers in the fields of tourism, entertainment, culture and events. We are proud that the airline is an integral part of this platform, not only as a transportation partner, but also as a partner in the vision and development of connecting Kuwait to the world.” He stated that Kuwait Airways believes its duty extends beyond commercial operations to a major national mission -- serving Kuwait and enhancing its civilized image before the world. He indicated that the airline will work through this collaboration to unify efforts in promoting, developing and advancing national tourism. He hopes that this cooperation will serve as a model for integration among State institutions, reflecting the spirit of national partnership based on shared ambition and responsibility, in line with Kuwait Vision 2035.
