KUWAIT CITY, Nov 13: Kuwait is expected to see warm weather during the day and cool to cold temperatures at night over the coming days, with a chance of fog during the weekend, the Meteorological Department said Thursday.
Acting Director Dharar Al-Ali told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the country is under the influence of an extension of a high-pressure system from the northwest, accompanied by a cold and humid air mass. Temperatures are expected to gradually decrease, with light to moderate southeasterly to variable winds, occasionally becoming active.
Al-Ali said Thursday’s weather will be warm and humid, partly cloudy, with light to moderate southeasterly to variable winds ranging from 6 to 26 kilometers per hour. Some areas may experience fog. Maximum temperatures are forecast between 29 and 31 degrees Celsius, and the sea will remain calm with waves of 1 to 3 feet.
Tonight, the weather will turn cool, humid, and partly cloudy, with light to moderate southeasterly to variable winds between 8 and 28 kilometers per hour. Fog is possible in some areas. Minimum temperatures are expected between 10 and 12 degrees Celsius, with slight seas and waves of 1 to 3 feet.
Friday is expected to be warm, humid, and partly cloudy, with light to moderate variable to southeasterly winds of 8 to 28 kilometers per hour. There is a chance of scattered rain and evening fog. Maximum temperatures are forecast between 29 and 31 degrees Celsius, with slight to moderate seas and waves of 1 to 3 feet.
Friday night will be cool, humid, and partly cloudy, with light to moderate southeasterly to variable winds ranging from 8 to 30 kilometers per hour. Fog and scattered showers are possible, with minimum temperatures between 10 and 12 degrees Celsius and calm seas with waves of 1 to 4 feet.
Saturday is expected to be warm and humid, particularly in coastal areas, with partly to mostly cloudy skies. Winds will be light to moderate, shifting from variable to southeasterly at 12 to 40 kilometers per hour. Scattered showers, occasionally thundery, and evening fog are possible. Maximum temperatures will range between 29 and 31 degrees Celsius. Seas will be slight to moderate, occasionally rough, with waves of 1 to 6 feet.
Saturday night will be cool to cold, partly cloudy to cloudy, with light to moderate winds shifting from variable to southeasterly between 12 and 40 kilometers per hour. Scattered rain, occasional thunderstorms, and possible fog are expected. Minimum temperatures are forecast between 9 and 11 degrees Celsius, with slight to moderate seas, occasionally rough, and waves of 1 to 6 feet.
