Kuwait to See Humid Weather, Scattered Thundery Rain and Fog Until Sunday

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 3: Kuwait is experiencing humid weather with chances of scattered light rain, which could become thundery at times, while fog may develop during the evening and early morning hours, the Meteorological Department said Saturday.

Acting Director of the Meteorological Department Dhrar Al-Ali said the conditions are expected to continue until Sunday morning, as the country is affected by an extension of a humid low-pressure system coinciding with an upper-air low-pressure system.

He said the weather systems are contributing to an increase in low and medium-level clouds and scattered light rainfall, which may be accompanied by thunder in some areas.

Winds are expected to be southeasterly to variable, light to moderate, with fog likely to form in the evening and early morning. Visibility could fall to less than 1,000 meters in some areas.

Al-Ali said visibility is expected to gradually improve during the early morning hours on Sunday and urged citizens and residents to follow the latest forecasts and weather updates through the Meteorological Department's official website, application and social media accounts.
