Kuwait to Resume Maintenance on Secondary Substations Ahead of Summer Season

KUWAIT CITY, Mar 23: Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy announced that periodic maintenance on secondary substations across various governorates will resume on Wednesday, March 25, as part of efforts to enhance grid efficiency and ensure uninterrupted power supply. Ministry spokesperson Fatima Abbas Jawhar Hayat said the work aims to improve technical readiness, reduce sudden outages, and prepare for higher summer electrical loads, while adhering to strict safety and technical standards. Customers will be notified in advance via the government’s “Sahel” app and can view the maintenance schedule through the Ministry’s official social media channels.
