Kuwait to operate 63 flights for Hajj season, transporting 8,400 pilgrims

KUWAIT CITY, May 20: The General Authority of Civil Aviation on Wednesday announced the start of its operational plan for the current Hajj season, with 63 scheduled flights set to transport around 8,400 pilgrims and administrators from Kuwait to Saudi Arabia.

The flights will depart from Terminal 4 (T4) at Kuwait International Airport, with operations beginning today and continuing until May 23, officials said.

Head of the authority Sheikh Engineer Hamoud Al-Mubarak told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that return flights for pilgrims will take place between May 30 and May 31, in line with coordinated schedules agreed with Kuwaiti Hajj campaigns and relevant authorities in Saudi Arabia.

He said the operational plan has been developed in coordination with multiple government bodies, including the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, and the General Administration of Customs, as well as airlines and ground service providers, to ensure smooth travel procedures.

Al-Mubarak added that all operational and security preparations have been completed ahead of the season, aimed at facilitating the safe and efficient movement of pilgrims.

He urged pilgrims to follow airport instructions, including arriving at least three hours before departure and limiting luggage to one bag per passenger, in line with airline regulations and travel procedures.

He wished all pilgrims a safe journey and prayed for them to perform their rituals with ease before returning home after completing Hajj.
