In January 2026, Kuwait will mark three New Year holidays and three Isra and Mi’raj holidays.
KUWAIT CITY, Dec 2: Kuwait will observe six official public holidays in January 2026, with three days marking the New Year and another three days dedicated to the anniversary of Isra and Mi’raj.
According to official information, the New Year break will run from Thursday to Saturday, January 1–3, with work resuming on Sunday, January 4.
The Isra and Mi’raj holiday falls on Friday, January 16. As Friday is already a weekly public holiday, the break will extend across Friday, Saturday, and Sunday — January 16, 17, and 18 — with Sunday designated as the alternative day off. Work is scheduled to resume on Monday, January 19.
