Kuwait to host inaugural Asian Esports and Mind Sports Games in 2027

Dr. Tareq Al-Jalahma and Kuwait Olympic Committee President and head of the Kuwaiti delegation Sheikh Fahad Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah signed an agreement with Olympic Council of Asia President Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani.

NAGOYA, Japan, Sept 19: Minister of State for Youth and Sports Affairs Dr Tareq Al-Jalahma and Kuwait Olympic Committee President and head of the Kuwaiti delegation Sheikh Fahad Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah signed an agreement with Olympic Council of Asia President Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani for Kuwait to host the inaugural Asian Games for Esports and Mind Sports in 2027.

The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the 20th Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan, where the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Games got underway yesterday and will continue until October 4, bringing together athletes from across Asia.
