KUWAIT CITY, Nov 27: Sheikh Sabah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, President of the Dressage Committee at the Kuwait Equestrian Federation, announced that Kuwait will host the Global Dressage Challenge under the umbrella of the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI) on Saturday, December 6. He noted that organising such international dressage events in Kuwait will play a key role in developing this elegant sport, which is considered the foundation of equestrianism.
The Kuwait Equestrian Federation held a training camp with supervision and support from the FEI Solidarity Committee. The camp was led by Moroccan Olympic rider Yassine Rahmouni, who has participated in three Olympic Games and represented Morocco in numerous international competitions.
Rider Alaa Salem Al-Sultan, a member of the Dressage Committee, said that participants were selected based on their results from the current and previous seasons. The focus is on preparing the most skilled and committed riders for the upcoming Global Dressage Challenge while benefiting from the guidance of an Olympic-level trainer. Riders were split into morning and evening sessions to ensure all could attend.
