KUWAIT CITY, Jan 24: The Kuwait E-Sports Club announced that it will organize six community tournaments this season, open to all citizens and residents of the country. The initiative comes amid the rapid growth of e-sports globally and locally, and reflects the increasing interest in competitive gaming.
Club President Abdullah Al-Ali said the tournaments are being organized in collaboration with the Public Authority for Sports, aiming to further promote e-sports in Kuwait.
Al-Ali expressed his gratitude to Bashar Abdullah, Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Sports, praising his continuous support for e-sports and his efforts to ensure the sector receives the attention it deserves. He also highlighted the recent achievement of Kuwaiti players, who won a silver medal at the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games.
He added that the future of e-sports in Kuwait looks bright, thanks to strong government backing through the Public Authority for Sports and growing support from the Kuwait Olympic Committee. This support, he said, is key to advancing professionalism and development in this fast-growing and dynamic sector.
