KUWAIT CITY, Oct 24: Kuwait is expected to experience cooler nights from October 29, when the second 13-day phase of the traditional Wasm season begins, the Al-Ojairi Scientific Center announced.
The period, which runs until November 10, is associated with colder nights, humid winds around sunrise and a gradual increase in nighttime hours, according to the center.
The center said the period also marks the earliest noon prayer time of the year. Another traditional sign is colder water, particularly during the early morning hours.
According to the center, earlier generations associated this seasonal phase with an increase in sheep births. The likelihood of rainfall also rises during this period.
The sun sets earlier as the nights grow longer, the center said, advising the public to check prayer times and other timing information through the Al-Ojairi Scientific Center
