KUWAIT CITY, Aug 23: A major security campaign conducted by the Public Security Sector, represented by the Farwaniya Security Directorate, at the Friday Market in Al-Rai resulted in the arrest of 52 expatriates of various nationalities for violating residency laws. Their names have been submitted to Major General Hamad Al-Munifi, Head of the Public Security Sector, for approval of deportation procedures.
According to a security source, the operation was part of an ongoing security plan targeting law violators and wanted individuals. Security forces raided the busy market and apprehended expatriates found in breach of residency and labor laws. The campaign comes within a series of intensified operations aimed at tackling illegal labor practices and addressing the issue of residency violators in Kuwait.
