Kuwait taps urgent action to fortify water security

KUWAIT CITY, May 6: His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah chaired a meeting on Wednesday to discuss ways to enhance groundwater resources. The meeting came within the framework of supporting water security system and preserving the strategic water reserves. The meeting was attended by Minister of Oil Tareq Al-Roumi, Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Dr. Sabeeh Al-Mukhaizeem, Minister of Commerce and Industry Osama Boodai, Advisor at the Prime Minister’s Diwan Dr. Khaled Al-Fadhel, Acting Head of the Prime Minister’s Diwan Sheikh Khaled Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, CEO of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) Sheikh Nawaf Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah, and a number of officials from KPC, Kuwait Oil Company, and Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research.(KUNA)
