KUWAIT CITY, Nov. 30: Kuwait has revoked the citizenship of 14 individuals, along with those who may have obtained nationality through their association, according to three decrees published Monday in the Official Gazette (Kuwait Alyoum).
The government announced the decisions through Decree No. 218 of 2025, Decree No. 219 of 2025, and Decree No. 221 of 2025, all of which ordered the withdrawal of Kuwaiti nationality from specific individuals and any dependents who acquired it through them.
Decree No. 218 of 2025 revoked the citizenship of 12 people, in addition to those who had obtained nationality through their association. Decree No. 219 of 2025 ordered the withdrawal of nationality from one woman and anyone who had acquired it through her. Decree No. 221 of 2025 withdrew the citizenship of one person and those who had obtained it in connection with him.
The decrees were officially published in the latest issue of the Official Gazette (Kuwait Alyoum), making the decisions effective as of Monday.
