KUWAIT CITY, Feb 9: As part of ongoing efforts to review and verify the academic qualifications and equivalency certificates of employees, the Committee for Examining Academic Certificates of Employees in Government Agencies and the Private Sector will hold a guidance forum on Wednesday.

The forum aims to explain the mechanism for implementing the committee’s instructions and will be attended by specialists from ministries, government departments, public bodies, institutions, and government-owned companies. The initiative covers both Kuwaiti citizens and expats working across public and private sector entities.

Informed sources stated that the forum will focus on outlining the committee’s operational procedures, particularly those related to requests for academic certificate equivalency issued by the Ministry of Higher Education. The session is intended to clarify technical and procedural aspects for supervisory and leadership officials representing various government agencies.

The sources noted that the Certificates Examination Committee was established late last year to review the academic credentials of all state employees and ensure their authenticity. Several government entities have since requested employees to update and correct their educational qualification records as part of efforts to enhance data accuracy and integrity.
