Kuwait Steps Up Security in Riggae area, Arrests 36 Violators and Wanted Persons

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 23: Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior, represented by the Farwaniya Governorate Security Directorate, carried out a security campaign in the Riggae area to apprehend wanted individuals and law violators and strengthen the security presence in the area.

The campaign involved 168 security personnel and 50 security patrols and resulted in the apprehension of 36 violators and wanted individuals.

The violations and cases recorded were:

  • 13 individuals with outstanding arrest warrants related to expired residency permits.
  • 12 individuals wanted for absconding.
  • 4 individuals with expired residency permits.
  • 3 individuals wanted in connection with civil cases.
  • 3 individuals arrested in drug-related cases.
  • 1 individual arrested for possessing and selling medication without a license.
  • 1 vehicle seized for judicial impoundment.

The Ministry said the necessary legal and administrative procedures were taken against those apprehended, who were referred to the competent authorities.

The Ministry of Interior confirmed that field security campaigns will continue across various areas of Kuwait to apprehend violators and wanted individuals, strengthen security and stability, and enforce public order.
