KUWAIT CITY, Mar 30: Kuwait’s Prime Minister, His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, chaired a high-level meeting on Monday to review the country’s progress in meeting the requirements of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). The discussions focused on enhancing coordination among relevant government entities and strengthening efforts to comply with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing standards.
Officials emphasized the importance of institutional cooperation in addressing FATF observations as a strategic national priority, reaffirming Kuwait’s commitment to meeting international standards within the specified timeframe.
The meeting was attended by senior officials, including the Minister of Justice, the Governor of the Central Bank of Kuwait, the Managing Director of the Kuwait Investment Authority, and representatives from key bodies such as the Financial Intelligence Unit, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Public Prosecution.
