Kuwait steps up checks on business licenses, 28 violations in Farwaniya alone

KUWAIT CITY: Kuwait Municipality’s Audit and Follow-up Department in Farwaniya Governorate has issued 28 violations and seven warnings during an inspection campaign aimed at ensuring businesses comply with licensing and advertising regulations.

The campaign, titled “Get Your Business Licensed and Your Steps Are Correct,” was carried out by the specialized inspection team to check commercial and industrial establishments and verify the validity of activity and health licenses, as well as advertising permits.

According to the Public Relations Department, the inspection team conducted field visits to several industrial and commercial areas in Farwaniya Governorate to identify violations and ensure that businesses were operating within their permitted activities. The team took the necessary legal and regulatory measures against establishments found to violate municipal regulations governing shops and advertisements/displays.

The municipality said the campaign is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen compliance with regulations and ensure that commercial activities and advertisements are properly licensed.

It added that similar field inspection campaigns will be conducted across all governorates in the coming weeks. A schedule has been prepared by the Public Relations Department in coordination with the relevant municipal departments to organize and implement the campaigns.
