Dar Al-Shifa Hospital organized a solidarity stand on Friday, Oct 20, for the victims of the continuous brutal Israeli bombardment against the people in Gaza.

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 21, (Agencies): In a message of support and appreciation to the Kuwaiti leadership and its people, Dar Al-Shifa Hospital organized a solidarity stand yesterday for the victims of the continuous brutal Israeli bombardment against our people in Gaza. This included the heinous massacre committed by the Zionist entity against the Al-Muamadani Hospital in Gaza, which resulted in more than 500 martyrs and hundreds of wounded. This stand comes in response to the call of the Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Abdelwahab Al-Awadi, to all hospitals and healthcare centers operating in Kuwait, to organize a solidarity stand for this painful event, showing support for the resilient Palestinian people in Gaza.

The solidarity stand was attended by the Vice President and members of the hospital’s board of directors, as well as the executive, medical, nursing, administrative, and technical staff of the hospital. They all stood against the inhumane practices carried out by the Zionist entity against innocent civilians, including women, children, the elderly, and the medical institutions working in the region, for more than 12 days, in the face of a puzzling international silence regarding these violations committed by Israel, all in complete disregard for international laws and norms.

War Crimes On this occasion, Dr. Khaled Jiragh, Vice President of Dar Al-Shifa Hospital’s board of directors, explained that the stand was held in response to the call of the Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadi, as a sign of solidarity with the martyrs and the wounded of Al-Muamadani Hospital and with the suffering of our people in Palestine in general. He emphasized that targeting the medical staff and patients at the Al-Muamadani Hospital, leading to the deaths of over 500 individuals, including doctors and patients in the hospital, constitutes a blatant violation of international laws, norms, and a complete war crime.

Dr. Jiragh stressed Dar Al-Shifa Hospital’s solidarity with the Palestinian people, applauding their resilience and resistance against the Zionist aggression, concluding by saying that they offer this little support to our people in Gaza and pray for their victory and empowerment.

Intervention and Aid Dr. Ahmed Nasrallah, the hospital’s CEO, explained that the solidarity stand was organized based on a generous call from Health Minister Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadi. He added that this call is consistent with the stance of all the people of Kuwait, government, and citizens, who do not rest during these days due to the great challenge and the brutal massacres committed against the Palestinian people around the clock. These atrocities demand that every free and honorable person expresses their solidarity and offers assistance to support the Palestinian cause. Dr. Nasrallah said, “There are more than two million people in Gaza who do not have a functioning healthcare system to serve them. Their hospitals are targeted, and this stage is about providing aid.” He added that what we are witnessing in Palestine is not surprising from an arrogant enemy like Israel, and he called on all the free peoples of the world to stand with Palestine and offer assistance to support the Palestinian people’s cause. “The situation requires intervention and aid,” Dr. Nasrallah emphasized.

Zionist Massacres Dr. Mohammed Ismael, head of the medical committee at Dar Al-Shifa Hospital, condemned the massacres committed by the Zionist entity against the people of Gaza. He explained that the solidarity stand is a simple expression of support for our people in Palestine and Gaza, affirming that what is happening to our people is an extension of the brutal practices of the Zionist entity. He also called on all people of the free world to stand with Palestine.

Moreover, several doctors from Dar Al-Shifa Hospital joined the condemnation of the war crimes against civilians in Gaza. Dr. Osama Al-Aradi, the head of the Internal Medicine and Gastrointestinal Department, said that the solidarity stand is complete support for the rights of the Palestinian people who are suffering from the crimes of the Zionist entity. He noted that all of humanity opposes the targeting of hospitals and doctors and is ready to sacrifice funds, lives, and medical capabilities to stand with the Palestinian people.

Dr. Badr Al-Mahdi, a consultant in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at Dar Al-Shifa Hospital, stated that what is happening to the people of Gaza transcends religious and heavenly norms and destroys all of humanity, especially since the Zionist entity seeks to obliterate an entire people and their identity. He added that there is no longer anything left unsaid; what is required now is intervention and assistance.

From Kuwaiti Children to Palestine The solidarity stand was unique in having Hamad, a child with special needs, at the forefront, expressing his support for the Palestinians in Gaza, calling for their victory, empowerment, and the liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque from the Zionist entity. The solidarity stand concluded with heartfelt expressions of support and empowerment for the Palestinian people, breaking the yoke of the occupier.
