KUWAIT CITY, April 29: Kuwait’s pavilion at Expo Osaka 2025 has achieved a new international milestone by winning two awards at the globally renowned iF Design Award. In remarks to KUNA, Assistant Undersecretary for Support Services at the Ministry of Information and Commissioner General of Kuwait at Expo Osaka 2025, Salem Al-Wotyan, said the pavilion’s win came in two main categories, reflecting the integration between architectural design and communication content.

He noted that the pavilion won in the Interior Architecture for Exhibitions category, which focuses on spatial design, visitor experience, interaction, and journey flow within the pavilion, while the second award was in the Media Content and Storytelling category, which accompanies the visitor experience. Al-Wotyan noted that the dual achievement underscores the pavilion’s distinction in both architectural design and communication approach. He added that the achievement reflects Kuwait’s advanced position in design and innovation at the international level. Expo 2025 Osaka officially opened to the public on April 13, 2025, and ran for six months until October 13, 2025, with participation from 158 countries and regions, including Kuwait. The event, held under the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” took place on the artificial island of Yumeshima in Osaka Bay, western Japan.  (KUNA)
