The Kuwait squash team is preparing for the Gulf Games.

KUWAIT CITY, May 3: The Kuwait national squash team is continuing its intensive build-up ahead of the Gulf Games, which will be held in Doha from May 11 to 22. The team is targeting strong performances and podium finishes at the regional event.

Training is taking place daily at the late Salem Al-Sabah Center courts at the federation headquarters, with a demanding schedule that includes morning and evening sessions aimed at enhancing both physical fitness and technical readiness.

The squad consists of Ammar Al-Tamimi, Athbi Al-Jamaan, Badr Al-Maghrabi, and Jassim Al-Ghareeb.

The coaching staff is headed by Shereen Adel, assisted by Ahmed Abdel Aal, Majed Khan, and Falah Fayez, alongside fitness coach Ahmed Al-Sayed.

The sessions are being closely supervised by federation president Waleed Al-Sumaii, Secretary-General Hamed Al-Omran, and national teams director Abdullah Al-Subaie, reflecting strong administrative support ahead of the competition.

Coach Shereen Adel said the technical staff is working under significant time pressure to make up for the earlier break in preparations, but praised the players’ commitment and positive response, which he believes strengthens their chances of competing for titles.

He also highlighted the team’s quality at the Gulf level, pointing to recent success at the Arab Championships, where Ammar Al-Tamimi and Badr Al-Maghrabi claimed first and second place, respectively, raising expectations for gold medals in both team and individual events.

The Kuwaiti delegation will depart for Doha on May 9, led by Khaled Al-Habib.
