KUWAIT CITY, Oct 7: The Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) has referred a leader and a member of the board of directors of a sports federation to the Public Prosecution on suspicion of submitting an incorrect financial disclosure statement, the authority announced Tuesday.
Nazaha emphasized its ongoing commitment to thoroughly examine and investigate any credible reports related to corruption or misconduct. The authority reiterated its efforts to collect evidence and pursue all serious information received through various channels.
In a statement on its official Twitter account, Nazaha urged all individuals subject to financial disclosure regulations to comply fully with accuracy and transparency requirements. It stressed that submitting truthful and timely financial declarations is both a legal obligation and an ethical responsibility. This practice is crucial for protecting public funds, upholding the values of integrity, and strengthening public trust in government institutions.
The referral highlights the authority’s active role in maintaining transparency within government and sports institutions, reinforcing Kuwait’s broader anti-corruption campaign aimed at enhancing accountability in public and private sectors.
