Kuwait Special Forces Incident: Soldier Stabbed, Investigation Launched

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 10, (Agencies): A conflict arose between two Special Forces soldiers at their headquarters, resulting in one soldier being stabbed and subsequently hospitalized, reports Al-Seyassah daily The other soldier involved fled the country. A case was promptly registered and referred to the Public Prosecution for investigation.

Addressing reports circulating on various social media platforms, which detailed the confrontation between soldiers at the Special Security Forces camp and the subsequent flight of one party involved, Acting Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled, took swift action by ordering the formation of an urgent investigation committee. This committee’s mission is to uncover the incident’s sequence of events, elucidate the reasons behind it, and assess the resulting consequences in order to initiate appropriate legal actions.

After news of a military altercation at the Special Security Forces camp and the subsequent escape of the perpetrator from the country, the Ports and Borders Security Sector successfully apprehended the fleeing suspect upon his reentry to the country. He has since been handed over to the appropriate authorities to initiate legal proceedings against him.
