KUWAIT CITY, Aug 6: The Kuwait Society of Engineers announced the restructuring of its Engineers Qualification and Classification Council for the 2026/2027 term, aiming to strengthen the engineer qualification and classification system and support the digital transformation of the council’s services, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
Society President Eng. Mohammed Al- Subaie emphasized the society’s commitment to attracting Kuwaiti engineering expertise and talent from various sectors, which will contribute to improved council performance and the advancement of the engineering profession. He said the new council includes a distinguished group of engineering leaders and experts representing various sectors, which will enhance cooperation among relevant entities and support the development of the engineer qualification and classification system.
The society affirmed its commitment to coordinating with government entities to expand the scope of accreditation and classification for engineers working on state projects and within the labor market. Council Chairman Eng. Rashid Al-Enezi expressed his appreciation for the confidence placed in him by the society’s board of directors, stressing the continued efforts to develop the accreditation, qualification, and classification system in a manner that serves the engineering profession and supports the state’s direction towards relying on national expertise in implementing development plans.
He explained that the council has approved its work plan for the upcoming phase, which includes establishing a traffic studies committee to keep pace with the expansion of infrastructure, road, and transportation projects. The council has also approved the launch of a comprehensive electronic platform to manage all qualification and classification procedures, as part of the Engineers Society’s digital transformation efforts.
