TUNIS, Oct 26, (KUNA): Kuwaiti archers have bagged six medals in the first day of the 11th Arab Archery Championship, held in the Tunisian port city of Rades, 9 kms southeast Tunis.
Each of the Kuwaiti athletes Abdullah Malallah and Abdullah Taha won three medals: one silver and two bronze, head of the Kuwaiti delegation to the tournament Nadhal Al-Assem told KUNA Thursday.
He hailed the positive outcome, noting that the competition brings together the best Arab archers.
“90 archers from 13 countries are partaking in the championship,” he said.
He stated that five Kuwaiti athletes will participate in Friday’s competitions, expecting good results.
