KUWAIT CITY, Sep 20: Kuwait’s Public Authority for Food and Nutrition (PAFN) has issued 34 violation reports and shut down a non-compliant food facility during an inspection campaign in the Capital Governorate.
Inspectors found several violations, including the sale of food unfit (Rotten) for human consumption, failure to meet health and hygiene requirements, violations involving food trading and workers without the required conditions and valid health certificates, and the transportation of food using an unlicensed vehicle.
Inspectors also found a facility operating after its health license had expired.
The campaign resulted in the destruction of 204 kilograms of food products deemed unfit for human consumption. Legal measures were taken against the violators, PAFN said.
