Over 100 Shops, Factories Closed in Kuwait Fire Safety Campaign

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 12: The General Fire Force, in coordination with multiple government agencies, conducted an inspection campaign on Monday evening in Shuwaikh Industrial Area 2. Participating entities included the Ministry of Electricity and Water, the Ministry of Commerce, the Public Authority for Industry, the Public Authority for the Environment, and Kuwait Municipality.

The operation aimed to identify buildings and facilities that fail to comply with safety regulations and fire prevention standards.

As a result, 105 industrial establishments and shops were administratively closed, while 95 additional facilities received notices and warnings for not meeting the General Fire Force’s specified safety requirements.
