Kuwait shuts 58 'illegal' warehouses in Al-Sulaibiya crackdown

Kuwait Fire Force authorities seal 58 facilities in Al-Sulaibiya over illegal use of state land.

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 2: Kuwait’s General Fire Force on Tuesday launched an inspection campaign in the Al-Sulaibiya area, shutting down dozens of unlicensed facilities operating as warehouses on state-owned land.

The operation, carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Commerce, Environment Public Authority, Kuwait Municipality, Ministry of Electricity, Public Authority for Manpower, Public Security, and the General Department of Residency Affairs Investigations, resulted in the administrative closure of 58 facilities, the fire force said in a statement.

Authorities said the campaign is part of wider efforts to curb illegal use of state property and enhance safety compliance across industrial and commercial zones.

Authorities targeted unlicensed facilities used as warehouses on state-owned land.
