KUWAIT CITY, Mar 9 : The Kuwaiti Armed Forces intercepted and destroyed a hostile drone that entered the country’s airspace within the past 24 hours, according to a statement on Monday by Saud Al-Atwan, spokesperson for the Kuwait Ministry of Defense.

Speaking during a media briefing on the latest developments following Iranian aggression against Kuwait, Al-Atwan said air defense systems detected the drone and successfully engaged it. A task force from the Kuwait National Guard participated in the operation, which was carried out as part of coordinated efforts among military agencies.

He added that the drone was destroyed without causing any material damage or casualties. Kuwaiti air defense units continue to monitor the country’s airspace and track any potential missile threats as part of ongoing defensive measures to safeguard the nation.

Al-Atwan affirmed that members of the armed forces remain committed to their national duty with high morale and determination to protect the country’s security and stability.

He also expressed hopes for the continued safety of Kuwait under the leadership of the Emir, Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Crown Prince Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
