Kuwait Shooting Club honors winners of the training championship

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 9: Kuwait and Arab Shooting Federations President Eng. Duaij Al-Otaibi honored the winners of the final training championship held two days ago, which featured competitions in the 10-meter air rifle, 10-meter air pistol, and archery.

In the men’s category, Mohammed Al-Ajmi won the 10-meter air rifle title, while Fawaz Al-Mutairi topped the 10-meter air pistol event. Mohammed Al-Qattan claimed first place in archery.

Among the women, Fatima Al-Haddad won the 10-meter air rifle competition, Nada Al-Rashidi took first place in the 10-meter air pistol, and Joud Al-Rashidi secured the archery title.

Speaking on the occasion, Al-Otaibi said the Kuwait Shooting Club organizes training courses every summer to introduce young men and women to the fundamentals of rifle, pistol, and archery shooting.

He said a select group of experienced, qualified coaches supervise the courses, developing participants’ skills and technical abilities while identifying promising talents who could pursue careers in the sport.

Al-Otaibi added that participants who achieve outstanding results will be offered continued training programs at the club throughout the year. The aim is to develop their skills further and prepare the most promising athletes for possible selection to the national teams and participation in upcoming competitions.
