The Ministry of Defense later announced that Kuwait’s armed forces had successfully detected and intercepted four cruise missiles and 21 hostile unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that violated national airspace since dawn on Wednesday. Ministry spokesperson Colonel Saud Al-Atwan said the hostile Iranian aerial aggression targeted several vital infrastructure facilities across the country. He confirmed that the interceptions neutralized the main threats, with the attacks causing material damage but no casualties.
Al-Atwan stressed that the armed forces remain on the highest level of combat readiness and operational alert, continuing their defensive missions to safeguard Kuwait’s sovereignty and protect citizens, residents and national interests.
