KUWAIT CITY, Oct 27: The Visit Kuwait Platform Committee of the Ministry of Information announced on Monday that it has begun signing a series of strategic partnership agreements with various entities from the public and private sectors, as well as civil society organizations, to strengthen Kuwait’s tourism profile both regionally and internationally.

In an official statement, the committee explained that these agreements are part of a broader initiative to position Kuwait as a prominent destination on the regional and global tourism map, while also promoting domestic tourism. The move aligns with the goals of Kuwait Vision 2035 and follows the directives of the Minister of Information, Culture, and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi.

The committee emphasized that these directives focus on unifying and enhancing national efforts to modernize the tourism marketing system, foster coordination among related sectors, utilize advanced digital platforms, and showcase Kuwait’s rich cultural, historical, and entertainment offerings.

As part of this initiative, the committee revealed that a major partnership agreement will be signed this Wednesday with Jazeera Airways, followed by another with Kuwait Airways in early November. These collaborations will focus on launching joint promotional campaigns and integrating Kuwait’s tourism destinations into regional and international travel itineraries. The ultimate goal is to support the national economy and solidify Kuwait’s reputation as a distinctive and attractive tourist hub in the region.

The committee added that discussions are ongoing with several other potential partners across key sectors — including government institutions, private enterprises, and civil society groups — to ensure comprehensive integration and synergy within Kuwait’s tourism marketing ecosystem under the umbrella of the Visit Kuwait platform.
