Kuwait Sets 9:00 am to 1:15 pm Schedule for Online Secondary Classes

KUWAIT CITY, Apr 16: The Ministry of Education has announced an adjustment to school hours for distance learning for secondary-level students across public schools, special education institutions, religious schools, and private schools, in a move aimed at streamlining the educational process and adapting to current developments.

According to a press statement issued by Acting Undersecretary Mohammad Al-Khaldi, the revised schedule sets the school day from 9:00 am to 1:15 pm for distance learning classes, with the arrangement to remain in effect until further notice.

The Ministry said the new timetable is designed to balance academic continuity with prevailing circumstances, ensuring that learning objectives are met without disruption.

Under the revised structure, the school day will comprise six periods of 35 minutes each, a format intended to maintain instructional quality while ensuring proper distribution of curriculum content.

The Ministry of Education stressed that all relevant authorities must implement and adhere to the new schedule, and urged teaching and administrative staff, as well as students, to comply fully to ensure the smooth functioning of the distance learning system within approved regulatory frameworks.
