KUWAIT CITY, Sept 30: Acting Director of the Meteorological Department Dhirar Al-Ali said Wednesday that temperatures were expected to fall, with a slight chance of scattered rain Friday and occasional thunderstorms Sunday. Al-Ali told KUNA that weather maps and numerical models indicate the country will be affected by an extension of the Indian monsoon low, accompanied by a hot, humid air mass.
Winds will range from variable to southeasterly, light to moderate in speed, occasionally strengthening and causing sea waves to exceed six feet, he said. He forecast a relative decline in maximum temperatures, ranging between 40 and 43 degrees Celsius, while minimum temperatures will range between 24 and 27 degrees across most areas. Al-Ali said scattered rain chances will begin Friday and may become thundery at times Sunday. The weather will generally be hot and relatively humid, particularly along coastal areas during the day, while temperatures will range from warm to moderate at night. He added that fog may form Saturday evening and persist until Sunday morning. Al-Ali urged citizens and residents to follow weather updates through the department’s official website, application and social media accounts. (KUNA)
