KUWAIT CITY, May 16: The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition has taken precautionary measures against several batches of goat milk formula marketed under the Danalac brand following reports of suspected contamination with cereulide.
In a statement, the Authority said the Technical Monitoring and Inspection Section of the Imported Food Department inspected the warehouse of the concerned company and seized several batches after receiving a notification through the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed.
The Authority explained that the action was taken as part of precautionary and technical measures implemented in accordance with approved regulations and bylaws to ensure consumer health and safety.
The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition stressed its commitment to strengthening food monitoring procedures and safeguarding public health.
