Kuwait seizes 3,800 counterfeit branded clothing and footwear items in warehouse raids

KUWAIT CITY, July 14: Kuwaiti authorities seized 3,800 counterfeit clothing and footwear items bearing fake international trademarks during raids on two warehouses located in separate buildings, following surveillance by inspectors from the Control and Consumer Protection Department.

Officials said the violator was displaying and selling counterfeit products to consumers in breach of laws protecting intellectual property rights and trademarks. Authorities added that such violations harm the rights of trademark owners and negatively impact Kuwait's reputation and international standing in efforts to combat counterfeit goods and protect intellectual property. A seizure report was filed, and legal action has been initiated.
